Animal Welfare and Training for Central Java Beef Cattle Industry

On October 31, 2023, 60 beef cattle industry representatives from Central Java attended animal welfare and traceability training by Forum Animal Welfare Officer (FAWO) in Semarang, Central Java.

Animal welfare and traceability issues including the importance of ESCAS (Exporter Supply Chain Assurance System) implementation are crucial to support the Australian cattle business in Indonesia.

The Indonesia Australia Partnership on Food Security in the Red Meat and Cattle Sector is a Heads of Government initiative funded by the Australian Government. The secretariat and policy lead is the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery in Australia and the Ministry of Investment in Indonesia.
