Indonesia Australia Partnership on Food Security in the Red Meat and Cattle Partnership (Partnership) and Balai Besar Inseminasi Buatan Singosari Malang will be conducting the 2nd batch of Pregnancy Test Training Program for Paramedic Veterinarians. The training will be delivered on 27 March to 17 April 2020 in BBIB Singosari Malang, East Java, Indonesia.
Background:
The key to profitability for all cattle breeding enterprises is high reproductive efficiency. Pregnancy testing is one method of monitoring reproductive efficiency and detecting any problems early in the breeding cycle. The information can inform the best possible decision whether to keep the cattle for re-mating or for culling. The more accurate of pregnancy test result the more likely best decision to be made which affects profitability. Paramedics in cattle breeding operations play an important role to help good practice of pregnancy test in place, unfortunately many of them are lack of skills to conduct the process. A technical training on effective pregnancy test has been identified as an option to improve the technical skills of paramedics.
Objective:
It is envisaged that by the end of the training program, participants can improve their skills and capacity to support the achievement of high reproductive efficiency through effective and accurate pregnancy test in their breeding operations.
