NTCA Indonesia Australia Pastoral Program (NIAPP) 2019 has started

From 1–14 July 2019, the selection team from the Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association (NTCA) and the Indonesian Society of Animal Science (ISPI) travelled to 16 universities across Indonesia, from Aceh to West Papua, to find the best Indonesian animal husbandry students to join the 2019 NTCA Indonesia Australia Pastoral Program (NIAPP). Twenty students were selected and will undertake placements in various cattle stations in the Northern Territory of Australia for 10 weeks. They will leave to Darwin from Bali on the 25th of August 2019.

Prior to their departure, the 20 selected students were exposed by a pre-departure training conducted by Partnership and NTCA, facilitated by ISPI (Ikatan Sarjana Peternakan Indonesia). The pre-departure training was held on 13-16 August 2019 at the PT.Pasir Tengah, Cianjur, West Java. Through this activity, the #NIAPP2019 students could get to know each other before their placement in Australia, and received various trainings including animal handling training, social media and writing lessons, as well as briefing on cultural and daily activities they will be facing on their placement later in Australia.

On the 16th of August, the 20 student were officially inaugurated by Directorate General of Learning & Student Affairs, Ministry of Research, Technology & Higher Education, Prof. Dr. Ismunandar together with Partnership and NTCA.
